Linen Suite ("Linen Suite," "we," "us," or "our") is a commercial laundry and linen service for hotels and resorts, and is a Hamperapp company. This policy explains what personal information we collect through linensuite.com, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.
Ours is a business-to-business service, so most of what we ask for is about you in your capacity as an owner, operator, or manager of a property. We treat it as personal information and handle it as described here either way.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you request a quote or get in touch, we collect your first and last name, your work email address, your phone number, the property address you want serviced, your company name, and the type of property you operate. We also collect the details you give us about the work itself: the type of service you need, your estimated weekly poundage, the number of locations, how often you need service, and anything you choose to write in the free-text message field. We record whether you agreed to receive communications from us about your quote.
Most of these fields are required to submit a request; your weekly poundage, number of locations, and the message field are optional. We ask for the rest so we can price a route accurately rather than guess.
If you call us, we may keep a record of the call and of the details you give us during it.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, we and the analytics providers described below automatically collect:
- Your IP address, and the approximate city or region derived from it
- Your device and browser type, operating system, and screen size
- The pages you view, when you viewed them, how long you stayed, and the page or advertisement that referred you
- Your interactions with the site, such as starting a quote request, submitting one, or tapping a phone number to call us
Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs, which include your IP address, the time of your request, and the page requested. We use these for security and reliability.
Address suggestions. Our quote form suggests addresses as you type. Once you have typed four or more characters into an address field, those characters are sent from your browser directly to the Google Places API so it can return matching addresses. This happens as you type, before you submit the form, and it happens whether or not you go on to submit anything. We receive nothing from Google in return except the list of suggested addresses shown to you.
What we do not want. We do not ask for, and do not want, Social Security or government identification numbers, payment card numbers, health information, or precise GPS location. We do not take payments on this site. Please do not put sensitive information of that kind into the free-text message field.
2. How we use your information
We use the information described above to:
- Respond to your quote request, prepare pricing, and build a service plan and collection route for your property
- Contact you by phone, email, or text message about your request and, if you become a customer, about your service
- Schedule and carry out pickups and deliveries
- Operate, secure, maintain, and improve the site
- Measure how our marketing performs, including which advertisements and pages lead to quote requests
- Send you marketing about our services where you have agreed to receive it, or where the law otherwise permits it
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
- Meet our legal obligations and enforce our agreements
3. Phone calls and text messages
If you give us your phone number as part of a quote request, you agree that we may contact you at that number about that request. Where you have separately agreed to receive marketing communications, we may also send you promotional calls or text messages.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Message frequency varies.
- You can stop marketing text messages at any time by replying STOP, and marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in any marketing message or by contacting us using the details at the end of this policy.
- Opting out of marketing does not stop messages we need to send you to answer a request you made or to service an active account.
6. How long we keep it
We keep quote requests and customer records for as long as we need them to provide our service and run our business, and afterwards for as long as we need to meet legal, tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution requirements. If you requested a quote but did not become a customer, we keep your request so we can follow up and so that we have a record of the communication preferences you gave us. You can ask us to delete it — see section 8.
7. How we protect it
Quote requests are submitted over an encrypted connection and are passed to our internal systems through a private, authenticated channel rather than being exposed in your browser. We limit access to quote and customer information to the people who need it to do their jobs. No method of transmission over the internet or of electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we have collected about you and where we obtained it
- Receive a copy of that information in a portable format
- Correct personal information that is inaccurate
- Delete personal information we hold about you
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising
- Not be treated differently because you exercised any of these rights
Residents of California and of a growing number of other US states have some or all of these rights under state law.
To make a request, email us, call us, or use our contact page — the details are at the end of this policy. We will verify your request by asking you to confirm information we already hold, usually the name and email address you gave us. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, and we may ask that agent to prove they are authorized. We will respond within the time your state's law requires, which is generally 45 days, and we will tell you if we need an extension where one is permitted.
If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our response. We will tell you the outcome of the appeal and, where your state provides one, how to raise the matter with your Attorney General.
9. Children
This site and our services are meant for businesses and for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Other websites
This site links to websites and services we do not control. This policy does not cover them, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. Read their policies before giving them your information.
11. Where we operate
Linen Suite serves customers in the United States, and our systems and service providers are located in the United States. If you visit this site from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will give you more prominent notice. Please check back occasionally so you know where you stand.
